hisaka – ボーカリスト／ソングライター／音で物語を紡ぐ人 東京出身。
2011年、OL生活に別れを告げ、「本当に自分の心が求める人生を生きたい」と単身カナダ・トロントへ。知り合いもいない中、英語もままならない中、音楽の力だけを信じて飛び込んだその一歩が、彼女の音楽人生の幕開けとなりました。
国境を越えて人の心に届く歌を届けるアーティスト、hisaka。ジャズのエレガンス、ポップの温かさ、クラシックの深み、そして自身の人生を映すストーリーテリングが織りなすサウンドが、聴く人の心に寄り添います。
トロントでは、老舗ラジオ局 Jazz FM 91.1 にて「トロントの24人のジャズボーカリスト」に選出され、2013年から2017年まで毎年招かれて出演。“One Stop Vocal Jazz Safari” にて、カナダを代表するジャズアーティストたちとステージを共にしました。
2017年には映画『昼顔』のトロント日本映画祭でのプレミア公演に出演。翌年には在日カナダ大使館にて、カナダの現代アーティストとのクロスカルチャーライブを自ら企画・出演し、同年ナイアガラ・ジャズフェスティバルにも登場するなど、国際的な活動を展開。
これまでに Guido Basso、Laila Biali、Aaron Davis など世界的アーティストたちと共演。2019年にはトロントのバンド “Worst Pop Band Ever” と共に台湾ツアーも敢行しました。
アルバムはこれまでに3枚をリリース。2013年のデビュー作『Higher Sky』に続き、2016年にはカナダの名プロデューサー George Koller を迎えて『Secret Longing』を制作。2024年11月には初のクリスマスミニアルバム『Christmas Wishes』を発表しました。
そして2025年4月9日、hisakaは新たな一歩となるアルバム『Timeless Butterfly』をリリース。 この作品は、聴いてくださる方それぞれの「変化の瞬間」と重なり、そっと背中を押せるような音楽になりますようにという想いを込めて制作されました。
その後も音楽活動の幅を広げ、7月にはウッドベースの巨匠 Gary Karr の世界的デジタル配信プロジェクトに携わり、9月にはカナダの名ジャズピアニスト Mark Kieswetter の追悼コンサートに出演。10月には横浜ジャズプロムナードに初出演し、11月にはカナダ商工会議所日本支部の創立50周年記念式典にて演奏を行うなど、国際的な舞台での活躍を続けています。

In 2011, hisaka left her life as an office worker behind and took a leap of faith—moving alone to Toronto, Canada, with a single wish: to live a life true to her heart.
With no acquaintances and little English, she stepped into the unknown, guided only by her belief in the power of music. That leap marked the beginning of her musical journey.
hisaka is an artist whose voice transcends borders, blending the elegance of jazz, the warmth of pop, and the depth of classical music. Her sound is interwoven with storytelling drawn from her own life, gently touching the hearts of listeners across cultures.
In Toronto, she was selected by the renowned jazz radio station Jazz FM 91.1 as one of “Toronto’s 24 Jazz Vocalists” and was invited to perform annually in the “One Stop Vocal Jazz Safari” series from 2013 to 2017, sharing the stage with some of Canada’s top jazz musicians.
In 2017, she performed at the Toronto Japanese Film Festival premiere of the film Hirugao, and the following year she organized and performed in a cross-cultural concert at the Embassy of Canada in Japan. That same year, she appeared at the TD Niagara Jazz Festival, continuing to expand her international presence.
Throughout her career, hisaka has collaborated with world-class artists such as Guido Basso, Laila Biali, and Aaron Davis, and in 2019, toured Taiwan with the Toronto-based band “Worst Pop Band Ever.”
She has released three albums to date. Following her 2013 debut album Higher Sky, she teamed up with acclaimed Canadian producer George Koller for her 2016 release Secret Longing. In November 2024, she released her first Christmas EP Christmas Wishes.
On April 9, 2025, hisaka released her new album Timeless Butterfly — a work created with the hope that it will resonate with each listener’s own moment of transformation, offering quiet encouragement through music.
Continuing to broaden her artistic reach, in July 2025 she contributed to the global digital release project of legendary double bassist Gary Karr. In September, she performed at the memorial concert for Canadian jazz pianist Mark Kieswetter. In October, she made her debut at the Yokohama Jazz Promenade, and in November, she performed at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan, marking another milestone in her cross-cultural career.
Through music, hisaka continues to tell stories of life, connecting hearts beyond borders—
singing for someone’s now, wherever in the world that may be.
